December 24, 2016 Probably my favorite Adams family tradition, and this year my box was twice as big -- enough for two. #Gratitude.

Saving the best for last. Cause I know I won't have the time between now and the new year to do a whole slew of these things. Over the course of a year and about a week, this one has changed my life. I've never been overly sentimental or even all that affectionate. I didn't think love was weakness or anything like that, but maybe just not entirely for me. This woman amazes me every day, and shows me how it feels to be truly loved to my core, without fear or judgment. I'm the luckiest to have her, and every day we grow together more feels truly like the best gift. #love #barf @strummawocks

#Gratitude.

This loser, I say with the utmost affection. My big brother, the best friend I've been born with. The guy who keeps me grounded and lets me know when I'm dipping into anxiety-ridden crazy. The one who taught me it was okay to be a rebel and even better to be a badass who takes no shit from anyone. I still struggle with that every now and again, but knowing he has my back, always, is the best gift I could have ever asked for. I'll get relentless bullshit for this post, but I think I just won the 'better sibling' contest, so there. #butthead @jasonadams

#Gratitude.

I have not always gotten along with my parents. In varying degrees, we've disagreed on a lot of things from the time I was young. I've come to appreciate them much, much more as I've gotten older, and the sacrifices they made for our family. I snapped this little gem over Thanksgiving, when I was able to let my blood family and sort of chosen-family meld together for the first time. Through everything in life, my parents have always loved and respected one another. I strive to do the same in my relationship throughout the next 40+ years. #mushy #parents

#Gratitude.

A lot of my friends have been doing these "30 days of thankfulness" posts, but I'm a master procrastinator. I've been thinking a lot of doing something like that, on a much ... smaller/more manageable basis, so here we go. getting me to post two days in a row seems to take a fucking miracle, so we'll see how well I actually do with this. starting this off with gratitude for the things that keep me centered, and the "zen" i have allowed myself to find over the past year in particular. Allowing yourself to take TIME for yourself is so important, and learning that has made all the difference.
